K-pop has taken the world by storm as the Korean Wave sweeps across Asia, Europe and the Americas. Now it’s made its way into the Oxford English Dictionary.

Recently, the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) announced that “K-Pop” has officially been added to their vocabulary list. It defines “K-Pop” as “Korean pop music” and put it under a mass noun category.

Oxford English Dictionary is one of the oldest and most used English dictionaries in the world. Being listed in the OED is the latest sign of the Hallyu’s growing popularity.
